[tlug] Is Red Hat successful in Japan?

I am a college student in the USA doing research about Red Hat's success
in the Japanese marketplace.

Does anyone in the TLUG know if large enterprises are using Red Hat?  
What kind of growth has Red Hat seen in Japan since summer of 1999?

Are the sales figures good?  

Do people like/dislike Red Hat?  

How does a western company like Red Hat compete with other Linux
distributions?

Are there any Japanese Linux websites in English that might have this
information?

If you had a "mission critical" Linux deployment at work, would you have
somebody else support it besides Red Hat?
