I'm surprised it's not the latest version, actually.  few distros are 
than gentoo and arch are further ahead.  Maybe the Debian maintainer
hasn't had time to upgrade to the latest stable version yet.

Being lazy and busy, I'll wait until it shows up in my daily apt-get
