Mutt remains the One True Mail Client, but for those who want a GUI
mail client, Kmail is hard to beat.  Sylpheed is also pretty good,
as is Balsa.  All of them are faster than Evolution, which is a good
(IMO better than Outlook) clone of Outlook, but which I wouldn't use
unless I was in an environment where I really needed to duplicate
MS Exchange functionality.  Even then, I'd probably go with 
Kroupware for that instead b/c it also has a server solution for
that.
