Just clarifying--the 750's battery is exactly the same as the 700's, and
won't give you anything resembling 8 hours of battery life. Sharp does
offer a big battery (and a bigger battery cover) as an option, for
Y10,000.
The 760 comes with the big battery as default. The disadvantages of the
big
battery (for both C750 and C760) are that it's about 5mm thicker, and the
big battery cover is cheaply constructed compared to the rest of the
unit.

There is a terminal program package on the accompanying CD-ROM, and
Zaurus-ja (http://sourceforge.jp/projects/zaurus-ja/ has something called
embeddedkonsole-ja that is allegedly better.

Just to be extra clear, it has double *flash* memory, not double RAM,
and the doubled flash is taken up by a dictionary.

Me too. Last winter, C700 was in such short supply that it took me two
weeks
to find anyone with a stock--and it stayed that way for two months.
Hopefully
Sharp has learned its lesson this time....
