Much less than 80 meg, and starts in 2 -3 seconds on a Pentium IV-2.53 with
512 meg (DDR 333) and RAID 1 on two Seagate 80 GB ATA-100 disks.

Don't have time figures for my home machine, (PIII-1000) but will try to remember
to check it.  Certainly, neither Kmail nor KDE as a whole seem slow on that machine.
