That works, but sometimes its just simpler to attach a keyboard, or you
may have a KVM... I mean KV switch. Its also useless against hardware
failures.

Not very likely, but the risk is always there. I've seen it happen on
some RAID configurations or in case of drives which lose their boot
sectors (no, I never buy Fujitsus, but others do).
