Yeah, it is actually working OK for me. I can print and everything.
The only problem is that kinput2 sometimes gets into a weird state,
and I have to kill it to get it back to normal. Not really such a
problem for me, but my wife (a Windows user) finds it pretty 
irritating. It would be great if Linux had the Japanese input 
capabilities of Windows. Until then my wife insists that I install
Windows for her...
