Is not having to wait to have your film processed and being able to to get
your pictures into the computer literally seconds after taking them not
convenience?

OK, the quality bears no resemblance to what you can get out of a
traditional camera, especially a 4x5" or 8x10" sheet film job (I worked for
5 years in a pro photographic lab). Even a straightforward 35mm camera gets
infinitely better results than a digital camera - I wouldn't touch APS with
a barge pole - but as with anything it's a trade-off.
