I won't get into a debate to defend the license, but would just like to
point out that the distro and the license are two separate things. I have
seen the license appearing in a number of places recently, not connected
with this distro, or with Aizu U.

It may seem weird, but I would still go with these kind of people any day,
as opposed to the M$ direction.
