He really did. It really is a shame that he (and the others that left)
had to leave and if this message gets to them somehow I would ask them
to give the list a second chance.

Linux is at a point where even those hiding under a rock in some remote
desert might have heard about it and we cant expect everyone to be as
competent as your seasoned sysadmin or developer. Specially those that
have been dumbed down by the so called 'intuitive' interfaces.

Although this puts most of the responsibility of getting at least basic
training on the newcomers, the experts cant just cover their ears and
their eyes and start running. The situation will only get worse as more
of them arrive.

I for one am staying (at least for now) and hope that the others that
are left stay and try to make TLUG better.
