Re: [tlug] kernel compilation questions

I'm trying (still) to get a compiled 2.4.18-xfs kernel to boot but I can't. 
The kernel complains about not finding a proper root device ...

Could this be because the current root device is an ext3 fs? The kernel has 
ext3 suport so I tought it would be able to boot ...
