Debian Linux does have alot of docs but so does FreeBSD. In fact, IPFilter
set up/configuration is considerable more userfriendly than IPtables, IMHO

I believe that it supports "softdeps", which is similar. Though Linux
does have more journalling Filesystems to choose from.
