Very true. I didn't realize that "smtp;553 5.3.0" was actually a useful 
error code.

Before posting I wanted to search the arhive to see if anything rlelavant to
my post had been asked before but I find that all my archive searches come
back empty ...

"No matches were found for '(kernel or kernels)'"
