Sorry to butt in with a slightly different question but I think we're barking up the same tree.

Does anyone know anything more about this?

I'd like to change my terminal (without X) to run at a higher resolution.  Currently it's 80x25 characters.  I'd like to change it to 132 columns if possible.

Is SVGATextMode a program?  I don't seem to be able to find it on my machine.
