An earlier email from Chuck said he'd installed Mandrake.

Good. So your advice to Chuck is that he edit that file? Any suggestions?
I guess it's the default-point-size, etc. My contents of that area are:

	# in 12 points, decipoints
	default-point-size = 120
	
	# 100 x 100 and 75 x 75
	default-resolutions = 75,75,100,100
	
	# use lazy loading on 16 bit (usually Asian) fonts
	deferglyphs = 16

Yes I notice it is. I have never poked around in the XFS stuff, since it
worked out of the box. In fact I think RH7.1 was the first distro for
which I haven't had to fiddle the X config, but that's probably because
it's not on a laptop.  8-)}
