I did some search, and from what I read, it seems that uxterm is a
variation of xterm but not latest xterm, it's developed by a Singapore
University, but it's not free software and it only comes in binary.

Is this what you are referring to? (probably not, I assume, since you
are using it under Linux) Or is this the real xterm?
