While wondering how that mistake ever became common practice, I couldn't
help wondering if the idea came from a dictionary editor.  (Warning, heavy
irony here.)

Just imagine someone who wants to edit a French-Korean dictionary, so has to
input both French and Korean.  Obviously it means that the typist wanted to
see all menues, help information, and error messages in an unreadable mixed
scramble of French and Korean.
