Mouse problem

Hi.

I have a touchpad of synaptics but when I using it in the X, sometimes moves
aprox 40 pixels at the right and I have to calculate where it will click.
I tried to restart the X but it still do the same. The only way I know is to
restart the system.
Someone call tell what can be the causes of this?
