Yeah, but the original poster's strategy is usually the shortest path.
Most human experts will say "Jeez, gimme something to work with!
Quote the error message verbatim, OK?"

This strategy practically guarantees getting the answer on the first
page from Google for most types of query.

Unfortunately in this case the message itself is, er, ambiguous.  So
he won't get much help from the newsgroups.
