If it can handle fast synchronization of HUGE directory tree,
it would be a big win over rsync (not sure of rdist, though).

Current (well, as of last year, at least) implementation of rsync
is known to be a big memory hog when handling huge directory tree
like netnews article spool. It has caused out-of-memory error
when I tried to synchronize two 40GB disks with tons of small
files.
