Maybe on Cisco hardware, but I assure you that with a Linux-based
router it can be done.  Of course the whole point of my VPN is that
those addresses don't leak out ever, so I don't violate any RFCs.  And
I don't run BIND or anything like that for my internal net, which
would make things harder, it's only 5 hosts.  But I sure as heck do
route them, since one side is PPP and the other ethernet, with a host
in the middle.

I hate it when common carriers et al do this kind of thing.  Obviously
they are interpreting "private space" as internal to the ISP's space.
I'm not sure what the purpose of that might be, but I have my
suspicions....

This is exactly the same thing that Microsoft, Apple, and all the
Japanese computer vendors do: fill up the private space in Unicode and
other charset standards with their bloody corporate logos and special
kanji and symbols :-(
