When you get to n.even.0-test, the next step planned should be a
one-line patch that deletes the "-test" string from the top-level
Makefile or version.sh or whatever, and then release.[1]

When the number following the string "-test" hits double digits, you
can guess that somebody's been paying too much attention to the
Marketing Department.
