You're assuming that the Allied Telesys card doesn't have that mfr
id.  If it does, either AT or Corega screwed up, and the PCMCIA distro
_can't_ be fixed, because that's how cards get ID'd.  It's the
industry's standard, not David Hinds's.

I guess you could use the human readable strings for airchecking, but
please note that the marketroids do NOT want human-readable strings as
IDs; that would get in the way of their ability to put a flashing
yellow NEW! sticker on the same old card and have nobody notice....
Less cynically, it makes OEMming a lot easier.
