One of the following is true:

* Your kernel is miscompiled/broken
* Your SCSI card is broken
* Your SCSI chain is incorrectly terminated
* Your SCSI card's sequencer doesn't like the driver's microcode

However ...

... running 2.2.14 on an externally-visible box (or on a network with lots of
cracker-wannabes) is akin to placing a bit on your web site saying "please
hijack".  Upgrade -- you're an accident waiting to happen.
