Sure it's gonna become a Mac (not MS which was a side effect of the
evolution) -like system (with one big difference, it will be much more
flexible and functional), everybody feels it but is afraid to admit,
and that's why it's very disappointing for many today's Linux
addicts. But that's the way it is: computers and OSes exist for doing
job, not just for their own existence. Job like writing formatted
documents in a high level text editor or software applications (we
won't give up emacs though :-). A good OS is like the air -- it must
be fresh and transparent so that we can forget about our breathing and
do something useful.

I like this list the way it is because I don't have to subscribe to
other lists, it's admin and flame and whatever, and people seem to
know where to stop if it goes too far. Though maybe a tlug-develop
list (and nomikais, Simon, Saturday 9PM is the same as Monday 6AM for
me!) would be a good idea...
