Re: tlug: errr mail program?

Evolution from helixcode is one to watch when it comes out. They are
currently still writing it and only a skel program was released thus
far but they say end of June they might have something. It looks something
like MS Lookout (I call it lookout because it always used to crash on me
and I would lose mails). After that I've downloaded quite a few and tried
them out, but most of the GUIs were not designed with easy of use in mind
and most of them were buggy so I ended up using Mutt which although text
based, serves me quite well. Stay away from staroffice emailer which looks
quite nice but dumps on me at least. Balsa is another gnome mail program.
I haven't looked at the current release but the previous one, when it wasn't
crashing was quite good. Keep an eye on the helixcode web site for Evolution
for the moment I think. Of course I'm going to get eaten by the Emacs, netscape,
elm, mutt etc users for saying these crazy things but sure that's life. Of
course you seem to be a KDE user (as you're using KMail currently) but I guess
that is why you're on your quest. Good luck.

Cheers,

Tom.
